Sternula offers secure satellite-based connectivity for maritime digital services. Sternula is building its own fleet of micro satellites with the first satellite in Polar orbit from 2022. The connectivity solution is based on the new VHF Data Exchange (VDES) standard, an extension to the popular AIS technology.
